National Drug Use Survey (NDUS 2025)
The Ministry of Social
Justice and Empowerment is undertaking a
National Survey on the Extent and Pattern
of Substance Use in collaboration with the National Drug
Dependence Treatment Centre.
The Survey activity was initiated in July 2025. The Survey aims to provide State-Level and District-Level
estimates of people using various psychoactive substances.

National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC)
The Drug Dependence Treatment Centre, AIIMS was established in the year 1988 and was functional from the premises of the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, New Delhi. In 2003, it moved to its own dedicated campus at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Various reputed government medical education institutions are collaborating with the National Technical Agency (NDDTC, AIIMS) as Regional Technical Agencies for the implementation of the survey.
